Connect what your market is discussing with what your team knows
Your communications team may see a topic appearing in news coverage, customer discussions and competitor posts. Your sales team has heard related questions from buyers. Your engineers or customer success colleagues may have a useful answer. The next step is connecting those observations with people who can add something helpful on LinkedIn.
Meltwater helps research the conversations around your brand and market, prepare briefs and review media and social performance. Linkwiz helps review the employee profiles behind your company’s LinkedIn presence and support captured public participation. Use them together to move from a researched topic to a useful contribution, then review both the wider conversation and your team’s involvement.
| What you want to do | Meltwater | Linkwiz |
|---|---|---|

| Choose a useful topic | Use saved searches, Mira summaries and source links to prepare a brief. | Review captured company and colleague posts that employees could engage with. |
| Help someone contribute | Use your subscribed AI tools and company publishing workflows. | Discuss accessible findings and draft a contribution through connected AI or Slack. |
| Review what changed | Compare coverage, sentiment and channel performance over time. | Review profile improvements and captured employee participation over time. |
Start with a question your customers actually ask
Use Meltwater’s social listening tools to research your brand, competitors or a topic that matters to customers. Read the conversations behind a trend before turning it into a content idea. Which questions repeat? What has changed? Which claim needs a clearer explanation?
Example: Walt’s communications team investigates questions about AI-generated video and brand consistency. A salesperson knows where customers struggle to agree the brief. A production colleague knows which decisions protect a consistent result. Those are useful perspectives for separate LinkedIn contributions about the same topic.
Start with a defined question, relevant search terms and a date range. Meltwater’s listening setup guide separates connecting sources, choosing what to collect, creating the search and checking that the expected content arrives. That makes the research easier to repeat.
Turn the research into a brief the team can use
Mira Studio lets you ask questions in plain language, reference saved Explore searches, organize work into Projects and refine results in Canvas View. Use it to identify themes and retain the source links that explain them.
Example prompt: “From our saved search on AI video and brand consistency, summarize the recurring customer questions from this week. Link to the sources and separate a repeated concern from a single person’s opinion.”
Share a short brief with the people who know the subject: the question, why it matters, the supporting links and a request for their experience. Mira Studio supports sharing and exports, including links, PDF and email. Current product updates also describe newsletter links with AI briefings that can be shared in Slack or Teams.
A useful brief opens a conversation. Ask employees what matches their work and which point they can explain. Give them the source context rather than one identical post to copy.
Prepare the profiles behind those contributions
Someone who reads an employee’s comment or post may visit their profile to understand their expertise and connection to the company. Create a Linkwiz company report and review headlines, company covers, current company shown in the profile intro and workplace details.
PROFILE · HEADLINE
Is the company mentioned in their headline?
| Employee | Headline | Cover | Profile Intro | Workplace |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Alex Bennett Software Engineer | Good | Good | Good | Good |
Alex Carter Chief Executive Officer | Optimize | Good | Optimize | Optimize |
Example · See which employees need which profile updates.
Example: use the report to identify who needs a clearer company connection, then share an available cover or a colleague’s good example. Help each person make a manageable update that fits their role. The team profile audit guide and profile updates guide explain that workflow.
Help each employee add the part they know
A market theme can lead to an original post, a comment on a company or colleague’s post, or a repost with a practical observation. Choose the contribution that fits the person’s experience.
Use Linkwiz’s Activity Tracking to review captured posts and public participation. Its feed supplies posts and context. Connected AI assistants or the conversational Linkwiz agent in Slack help employees discuss what they could add and draft a response.
Example: Belle sees Walt’s post asking which decisions customers should agree before video production starts. She discusses a question she uses to clarify the audience, then turns that experience into a comment. A production colleague might write a separate post about keeping a consistent visual style.
The weekly recommendations guide explains how to give employees relevant posts and a conversation about their next step. A listening trend helps choose the topic; the person’s firsthand knowledge makes the contribution useful.
Keep company replies and employee contributions clear
Meltwater’s current Engage learning path covers publishing, conversations and measurement. Its workflows support scheduled content, incoming comments and messages, collaboration and social reporting. Use those tools for the company accounts your team manages.
Assign a company reply to the person responsible for the Page. Decide separately whether an employee has something useful to add from their own profile. Answering as the business and contributing as an employee can support the same discussion while carrying different responsibilities.
Meltwater’s alert documentation covers publishing assignments, approvals, requested changes and publication status. Keep that operational follow-up with the company content owner, and employee participation support with the people making their own contributions.
Use the right view for the question
For a wider market question, research the news and social sources covered by your Meltwater subscription. For performance on a company LinkedIn Page, use the connected account and its available analytics. For employee profiles and captured participation, use the Linkwiz report and activity view.
Meltwater’s current source guide describes LinkedIn content in Explore as a sampled, anonymized set of posts reshared onto other social networks. Managed LinkedIn company Pages are connected under Owned. A LinkedIn source label in a listening search therefore answers a different question from reviewing the employees in your team.
Choose the sources and account access around the question you want to answer. Read the actual posts and reporting definitions before treating a total as evidence of who participated.
Bring market context and employee context into your AI workflow
Meltwater has its own AI capabilities. Mira supports research and analysis, and Meltwater MCP connects subscribed intelligence to supported AI assistants and custom agents. Answers and tool access follow the user’s subscription and permissions.
Its Claude organization guide describes enabling the connector for a Team or Enterprise workspace, with each user signing in to their own Meltwater account. The developer guide also describes ChatGPT and Claude connectors and tool access for custom agents. Confirm the current authentication route for the connection you plan to use: the organization and developer guides describe different setup paths.
Connect Linkwiz separately where supported to discuss accessible employee findings and captured public activity. Example: ask your assistant to turn a researched customer question into discussion ideas for the customer-facing team, then use each employee’s findings and experience to decide their next step. The team AI agent guide explains employee support.
Check the tools actually available in each connection. Access to Meltwater intelligence does not by itself authorize publishing on a social account, or connect Meltwater and Linkwiz automatically.
Review the wider conversation and your team’s progress
Use Meltwater’s social analytics to compare channel performance, campaigns, competitors and the conversation around your brand. It supports scheduled reporting, dashboards and historical comparisons. Its Measure training also covers tags, team performance, owned and paid accounts, and sharing reports.
Review employee profile improvements over time and captured public participation in Linkwiz alongside those results. Did people update their profiles? Which employees joined relevant conversations? What did they actually contribute, and what help would make next week easier?
Keep the same topic, employee group and comparable periods when reviewing a routine. Read the contributions behind the totals. More media coverage or engagement during a campaign does not by itself show that employee activity caused it.
Meltwater’s current updates describe earned media value based on per-network benchmarks. Treat that as a reporting estimate, with its stated methodology, rather than revenue received. Use the combined review to improve topic selection and employee support.
Choose access around the research and team routine
The current Meltwater pricing page offers tailored proposals across Starter, Pro, Enterprise and Agency packages. Costs depend on modules, data coverage, users, integrations, support and contract scope. Ask for the listening, company-account management and AI access you need rather than assuming every capability is included.
| Product or access | Purchasing approach | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Linkwiz Starter | $25/month; 25 profiles, 3 companies and 3 workspace users. | Profile reviews, activity and the employees who need support. |
| Meltwater intelligence packages | Tailored sales quote; Starter, Pro, Enterprise and Agency options. | Sources, countries, languages, users, reports and the modules needed. |
| Meltwater Engage / owned analytics | Confirm availability and scope in the proposal. | Managed LinkedIn Pages, publishing, conversations, account permissions and reporting. |
| Meltwater MCP | Active subscription, MCP add-on and appropriate access. | Available assistant connections/tools, permissions and contracted usage credits. |
The pricing page says most agreements run annually, with a 12-month minimum; it offers a guided demo rather than a self-serve trial. Implementation charges may apply for complex setups. Confirm those terms in your proposal.
MCP access requires the appropriate subscription and add-on. Current product updates describe a usage dashboard showing credits, active users and tool-level spend. Agree the usage allowance and employee access before rolling it out.
See Linkwiz pricing for profile, company and workspace limits. The subscriptions and authorizations are separate.
About this comparison
Evidence reviewed 12 October 2026. This guide uses current Meltwater product, pricing, Academy, community and developer documentation, alongside Linkwiz product and guide documentation. The original research identifies Meltwater as PP029 / A27.
This is a public documentation review. We did not test a paid account, a social publishing workflow, an AI connector, a campaign or a custom quote. The main pricing and product navigation emphasize intelligence; current Academy materials still describe Engage. Confirm module availability and account coverage in the proposal. The Claude organization guide describes OAuth, while the developer overview still describes API-token authentication for custom agents; verify your chosen setup with the vendor.
The report and walkthrough are Examples. This page describes a shared workflow and does not imply a direct product integration, a commercial partnership or a measured customer result.
