Give profile updates and content publishing a shared purpose

A company can have an active LinkedIn Page while employees still have outdated workplace details or unclear headlines. It can also have well-prepared profiles without a reliable routine for publishing and responding to people. Both deserve attention.

Use Linkwiz to organize employee profile findings and company-related participation. Use Buffer to run the content workflow for the accounts you connect, including LinkedIn personal profiles and Pages. The useful combination is a clearer company presence and a practical way for people to contribute.

Get employee profiles ready before the next campaign

Example: a marketing lead is preparing a launch. Some employees need the approved cover, others need to update their current workplace, and several could explain the company connection more clearly in their headline. Start with the changes each person needs.

Linkwiz brings those findings into a company report. Read the employee matrix, open a finding and use its evidence and recommended next step. The team profile audit guide explains how to organize that review.

Share approved assets and good examples from colleagues who passed the check. The employee updates guide covers that handoff, including practical recommendations and support through connected AI assistants.

Buffer also offers a free LinkedIn headline generator. It uses a person’s role, skills and goals to suggest wording, including sales/founder and thought-leadership goals. An employee can use it to prepare options, then check that the chosen version explains their real work and fits company guidance.

Generating a headline and coordinating live employee updates are different jobs. Keep the actual LinkedIn update with the employee and review later findings in an available Linkwiz scan.

Use Buffer to prepare and publish the content

Buffer’s LinkedIn publishing tools support personal profiles and Pages, with formats such as text, images, PDFs and video. Ideas, drafts and a calendar help the team move from a topic to a planned post.

Its built-in AI Assistant can help brainstorm, refine and repurpose content. That can be useful when a subject-matter expert knows the story but needs help making the first draft readable. Keep their real experience, role and voice in the final version.

For a company Page post, agree who owns the message and publishing time. For an employee’s personal post, let that person decide what they want to say and review the wording before it goes live. Connecting the Page and connecting a personal profile are separate channel choices.

The LinkedIn setup guide explains the authorization process. A Page requires a LinkedIn Super Admin to connect it; a person authorizes their own profile. Choose the intended account when Buffer presents the available channels.

Set publishing and conversation access deliberately

Buffer’s Team plan supports shared work and approvals. Its permissions documentation distinguishes Full Access for publishing from Needs Approval, where a person submits drafts for review. Assign access to the relevant channels.

Community permissions are separate from publishing permissions. Someone can help with audience replies while their new posts still need approval. Agree who owns Page replies and who signs off on publication; a general invitation to the workspace should not substitute for those decisions.

In Linkwiz, separately decide who operates the company report and follows up on employee findings. Employees whose profiles appear in the report do not all need to be editors of the publishing calendar.

This keeps the handoff clear: the company lead organizes profile improvements, the employee makes their own update, and the content owners use Buffer’s review and publishing process.

Support employee contributions and answer the audience

When a company post goes live, there are two useful conversations to support. The Page owner needs to respond to comments on the post. Employees may have their own relevant experience to add, or a colleague post they should not miss.

Buffer’s Community inbox helps handle comments on connected channels, including LinkedIn. Its reply tools include saved responses and AI suggestions. That is useful for the people responsible for responding as those accounts.

Linkwiz’s Activity Tracking supplies company and colleague posts, captured interactions and supporting activity. Use that context and the report’s engagement findings to offer employees a useful starting point.

The feed provides posts and context. Connected AI assistants and Linkwiz’s conversational Slack agent can help a person discuss what they could contribute and draft it. The weekly recommendations guide explains that support.

For example, a salesperson can bring a customer question to a company discussion while the Page owner answers audience replies in Buffer. These contributions serve the same conversation through different people and accounts.

Both tools can work with the AI assistants your team uses

Buffer has its own AI assistant connection, available across its plans. Supported assistants can create posts and ideas, schedule content, inspect connected channels and manage the queue. Buffer also publishes an API for supported workflows.

Linkwiz’s AI agent workflow brings accessible profile findings and company-related activity into a conversation. Use it to understand an employee’s next steps or discuss a relevant contribution. Buffer’s connection can then support the separate content queue where appropriate.

If one assistant has both supported connections, keep each request clear. Example: ask it to use Linkwiz to review the employee findings, then use Buffer to prepare a draft for a specific connected channel. Review the proposed wording and channel before scheduling. The products need separate authorization; this guide does not describe a direct Linkwiz-to-Buffer integration.

For performance questions, confirm the access available to that connection. Buffer’s API access documentation distinguishes personal-key analytics access from third-party app permissions. A connection that can manage posts should not automatically be assumed to have every metric.

Read content performance and employee participation together

Buffer’s current LinkedIn documentation covers post results and Insights for both Pages and personal profiles. It includes period comparisons, trends and AI Takeaways to help decide what to publish next.

The Insights guide explains channel and tag filters. That helps a lead review a campaign or content theme, rather than mixing every account and post into one total. Paid report exports and the user’s channel access matter when sharing the results.

Linkwiz answers related questions about the employees: which profile findings changed, which captured contributions appeared and where further support would be useful. Use the profile progress guide and engagement review guide for those reviews.

Example: Buffer shows how a campaign’s posts performed; Linkwiz shows the available profile changes and captured company-related employee activity around that period. Read both before deciding whether to adjust content, give someone a clearer recommendation or help them write.

Use comparable dates, account types and employee groups. Buffer’s LinkedIn Page and profile engagement-rate definitions differ. These records can inform the next action; they do not prove that a profile update or employee comment caused a business result.

Budget for tracked people and connected publishing accounts

Current price references · USD · Different billing units
OptionPublished priceWhat the unit means
Linkwiz Starter$25/month or $250/year.25 tracked people, 3 companies and 3 workspace members; profile optimization and activity tracking.
Buffer FreeFree.Up to 3 channels, 1 user and 10 queued posts per channel at a time.
Buffer Essentials$6/month per channel, or $5/month with yearly billing. One user; paid publishing and analytics features.
Buffer Team$12/month per channel, or $10/month with yearly billing.Unlimited users, access controls and approval workflows.

Buffer’s shown paid amounts are the one-channel rates. A LinkedIn Page and an employee’s connected personal profile count separately. Higher channel counts use volume pricing, so confirm your selection on the pricing calculator. Annual prices are monthly equivalents billed for the year.

Linkwiz pricing separates tracked people from workspace members. Budget Buffer for the accounts you actually publish through, and Linkwiz for the people and companies you review. You do not need to connect every employee’s publishing account just because their profile appears in a report.

When does it make sense to use both?

Buffer can be enough when your job is to draft, approve, publish and measure content for connected accounts. Add Linkwiz when you also need to see which employees need company-related profile updates, give each person a next step and follow up across the team. Start with one employee group and one campaign so the extra work has a clear owner.

Connect the intended Buffer channels and set the right review roles. Prepare the content, respond to audience comments and offer employees specific opportunities to contribute through the Linkwiz feed and conversational support.

Return to both records after people have had time to act: content performance in Buffer, available employee profile findings and company-related activity in Linkwiz. Use what you learn to improve the next round.

About this guide

By Linkwiz · Evidence reviewed 14 October 2026. Reviewed current Buffer publishing, headline generator, collaboration, Community, Insights, MCP/API, LinkedIn support, permissions and pricing documentation, alongside current Linkwiz pricing and approved guides. Verified the public one-channel yearly and monthly pricing selector. No Buffer account, social channel, AI connection, trial or payment was created; paid product behavior was not tested. Reused reports are labeled Example.

This is a complementary workflow, not a claim of direct product synchronization. Features and available metrics depend on channel type, plan and authorization. Current LinkedIn support confirms Insights for profiles and Pages; older marketing descriptions should not be read as the complete current capability list. The Community page still marks comment insights as coming soon, so that feature is not used in this workflow.

Buffer’s API documentation distinguishes personal-key analytics scopes from third-party app access. Report access and exports should be confirmed against current permissions. Linkwiz progress needs available scans; participation reviews reflect captured contributions. No ranking, reach or business outcome is guaranteed.
