Do you need content reporting, team profile support or both?

Metricool covers the content operation: planning, publishing, approvals and analytics for connected accounts. Its LinkedIn tools support both personal profiles and Company Pages, with reports that help you understand how the content performs. If those are the jobs you need done, Metricool may be enough.

Add Linkwiz when the question extends to the people representing the company: which profiles need updating, who is participating around company and colleague posts, and how to help employees take their next step. A campaign can perform well while some employees still need a profile update or a more relevant invitation to contribute.

What should we publish, and when?Plan and schedule content for connected accounts; use reviews on eligible plans.Use profile and activity findings to decide where employees need support.

Both products offer AI, reporting and team workflows. The useful distinction is the question each report answers, not whether one product has an analytics feature and the other does not.

Decide which LinkedIn accounts you want to connect

Metricool organizes accounts into “brands.” Each brand can contain one LinkedIn account: either a personal profile or a Company Page. Its connection guide explains that you need separate brands to manage both. Connecting a Company Page requires LinkedIn Super Admin access.

Example: Walt wants to manage its Page and publish for Belle, Arielle, Peter and Jasmine. Those five LinkedIn accounts need five Metricool brands. If marketing only needs to publish and analyze the Walt Page, one connected LinkedIn account is a different setup from managing all four employees’ publishing calendars.

In Linkwiz, select the people whose profiles and available company-related activity you want to review. Tracked employees do not each need a Linkwiz account. Decide who needs connected publishing and analytics in Metricool, who needs profile support in Linkwiz, and who needs access to the reports. These groups can overlap without being identical.

Prepare the profiles that will represent the campaign

Before Walt launches its video-brief campaign, review whether participating employees’ profiles show their current role and connection to the company. Create the company report through Linkwiz’s UI, then review the findings together.

For company alignment, look at the headline, company cover, current company in the profile intro and workplace in Experience. Open the evidence and next step for each finding that needs attention. The team profile audit guide covers the wider set of checks.

Keep content creation and approval in Metricool

Use Metricool’s calendar for the Walt Page post and any employee posts you are managing there. Its AI text generator can propose copy from your brief, with tone and language choices. Have the author review it and add their own experience before publication.

Metricool’s approval system supports internal collaborators and external reviewers by email. On Advanced and Custom, you can set review rules and keep feedback with the post. The Content Creator role requires review before publication; choose the appropriate permissions for your process.

Keep the responsibilities clear: the author supplies the experience, marketing reviews the company message, and the authorized publisher handles the scheduled post. Linkwiz profile findings can inform the preparation, while Metricool remains the content calendar. There is no need to move that workflow into another tool just to review employee profiles.

Look beyond the response a post receives

Metricool can tell you about the response to connected-account content. Linkwiz helps you review available participation around the company and colleagues. These are related questions: “Did our company post get comments?” and “Which employees contributed, and where could someone use help?”

Example Linkwiz report: see who needs support with company engagement.

Example: Belle’s Company Comments finding needs attention. Open the available evidence and the company activity feed. A Walt post asks what to agree with a customer before video production begins. Belle discusses briefs with customers, so it gives her a familiar conversation to join.

The Linkwiz feed supplies the post and context. A connected assistant or the Linkwiz Slack agent can help Belle discuss a customer question and draft a useful contribution. Linkwiz’s weekly engagement workflow explains this support. The feed itself does not write a personalized comment.

Read the contributions before deciding what the totals mean. Available employee activity is not a count of everyone who saw a post, and the absence of a captured contribution is a reason to review the evidence and offer support. The team engagement review guide shows the report in more detail.

Compare performance and participation without mixing the numbers

Metricool documents personal-profile metrics such as followers, impressions, reactions, comments, shares and post-level results. Its Company Page metrics also include clicks and available follower demographics. Use the definition for the account you are measuring.

For a monthly review, first decide whether you want activity received during that month or the performance of posts published in that month. Metricool distinguishes these views: a post selected by its publication date can show accumulated results through yesterday. Its Analytics guide explains equal-length comparison periods and creating a separate comparison view.

In Metricool Reporting, PDF/PPT reports, Campaign Dashboards and Metricool Studio serve different needs. Studio supports tailored AI reports and comparing brands. Check the plan and add-on allowances for the report you want, especially if leadership needs results from several employee accounts.

Alongside that performance review, use Linkwiz to compare available profile scans and examine captured company activity for the relevant people and period. The profile progress guide explains changes in profile findings. Keep this beside the content report rather than treating profile improvements as proof that impressions or revenue increased.

Agree the account list, dates and metrics before the next review. Metricool starts personal follower history from connection or renewed permissions, and its history guide explains which older data can be recovered. “Unlimited history” is a storage allowance, not a promise to recover every earlier observation.

Use AI with the right report and the right responsibility

Metricool already connects to AI assistants. Its current MCP documentation covers analytics queries, planner access, creating and editing scheduled posts, and sending content for review. MCP works across plans, but it does not remove account or plan limits. LinkedIn connection still requires a paid Metricool plan.

Use Metricool-connected AI for questions about connected content performance and supported planning tasks. Use Linkwiz connections for accessible employee profile findings and captured company activity. For example, a lead can review which profile checks changed, while Belle can get private help discussing a relevant post through Slack.

When both tools are available to an assistant, name the source and the task: “Use Metricool to review the Walt Page’s content performance. Use Linkwiz to review our team’s profile findings and available company participation. Suggest separate follow-ups for each.” Keep scheduling or publishing with the authorized workflow and review the output.

Connect each product separately. This is a suggested workflow, not an automatic Linkwiz–Metricool synchronization. The team AI agent guide explains Linkwiz access and the personal plan for employees who do not have their own connector.

Budget for publishing accounts, collaborators and tracked people

Different allowances for different work
Planning questionMetricoolLinkwiz Starter
How is the group counted? One LinkedIn profile or Page per brand.Tracked people, companies and workspace members.
Where does LinkedIn access start?Starter: from €20/month, or €16/month equivalent billed annually, for up to 5 brands.$25/month or $250/year in USD.
What if several people manage content?Advanced: from €54/month, or €43/month equivalent billed annually, for up to 15 brands; team roles and approvals.25 tracked people, 3 companies and 3 workspace members.

Metricool’s current pricing excludes LinkedIn from Free. Starter includes LinkedIn and standard reports; Advanced adds team/client roles, approvals and API access. Its permissions guide confirms that Free and Starter have single-user access, while Advanced and Custom support shared management.

For Walt’s five connected LinkedIn accounts, the Starter five-brand allowance fits the account count. If Belle and marketing both need to work inside that shared publishing setup, review Advanced’s access requirements as well. The number of connected accounts and the number of collaborators are separate decisions.

Metricool figures above are EUR before applicable VAT; Linkwiz figures are USD, so they are not a currency-matched price comparison. Check billing, additional brands and analytics add-ons. In Linkwiz pricing, tracked employees are separate from workspace members; budget for the people being reviewed and those who manage the workspace.

Start with the question your current reports cannot answer

If you need scheduling, approvals and LinkedIn content performance, start with Metricool’s connected-account workflow. Add Linkwiz when you also need coordinated employee profile updates and a shared review of company-related participation.

Try one group and one campaign. Create the Linkwiz report, agree profile updates, and keep the planned posts and reviews in Metricool. Offer relevant posts and conversational help to employees. At the next review, read content performance and team findings together, then choose the next useful action.

About this guide

By Linkwiz · Evidence reviewed 14 October 2026. Reviewed current Metricool LinkedIn, plans, pricing controls, brands, permissions, approvals, analytics, reporting, history, AI and MCP documentation, plus current Linkwiz pricing and team guides. Public evidence only: no paid account, authenticated analytics query, AI output or publishing action was tested.

Metricool documentation is changing. The recent personal-profile page documents broader metrics, while an older general metrics guide still says personal post-level data is limited to posts published through Metricool. Confirm coverage for the posts in your connected account before setting a baseline; this guide does not use that older restriction as a competitive claim. Metrics can differ from LinkedIn’s interface, and the documented shares count includes reposts with added thoughts.

The newest MCP limits page describes supported tools more narrowly than the general authorization screen. This guide uses that tool list, not a claim that every permission is an executable MCP action. Reporting and analytics add-on allowances also vary across current pages; confirm them for your plan.
