Keep the context when a LinkedIn conversation moves forward
A useful comment can lead to a profile visit, a connection request or a private conversation. Later, a teammate may meet the same person and have no idea what you already discussed. Saving a name alone does not give that teammate enough context to continue the relationship.
Use Linkwiz to help employees show their role and company clearly and take part in relevant public conversations. Use folk to save the people they meet, share the available relationship history and give the next step an owner.
| The question | Linkwiz | folk |
|---|---|---|
| How does our team appear on LinkedIn? | Review employee profiles and their company connections. | Keep contact and company information in your CRM. |
| Where can an employee contribute? | Find captured company and colleague posts; discuss a contribution through connected AI or Slack. | Save the people you meet and the context worth remembering. |
| Who already knows this person? | Review captured public participation by employees. | Use shared interactions and Strongest connection to investigate who can help. |
| Who will follow up? | Support employee profile updates and participation. | Assign an owner or task and review the available relationship history. |
Save the person and why you want to stay in touch
folk’s folkX extension captures contacts from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator into a chosen workspace and group. You can edit fields, read or add notes, set reminders and log an interaction while viewing the person’s profile. If they are already in your CRM, the extension shows their existing record.
Example: Belle meets a marketing lead in a discussion about video briefs. She saves the contact in a relevant group and adds a note about the question they discussed. That note gives the next conversation a reason to happen.
The current installation guide says to keep folk’s desktop app open for social-site support. Check the setup before rolling the extension out to colleagues. Capturing a contact does not automatically record every public post or private conversation they have.
Make your own team easy to recognize
Before starting more conversations, review the employee profiles people will visit. Create a Linkwiz company report and check headlines, company covers, the current company in the profile intro and workplace information. Employees can keep their own voice while making their role and company connection clear.

Ask who already knows the contact
folk’s relationship fields include team last interaction, last interaction by and Strongest connection. They help the team explore who has spoken to a person and who may be able to help with an introduction or handoff.
Strongest connection relies on teammates sharing their interactions and is calculated among members who can access the contact’s group. The colleague it identifies is a starting point for a question, not a guarantee that they know the person well.
Example: before reaching out, Belle checks whether someone at Walt already knows the marketing lead. She asks that colleague what they discussed and whether it makes sense for her to continue. An owner field can then make responsibility clear.
Help a colleague pick up the conversation
folk’s Recap Assistant summarizes accessible notes and interactions for a person, company or deal. It can help someone preparing for a call or taking over a relationship understand what was discussed and what might still need attention.
Recaps are generated on demand. Refresh one after new conversations, and use the underlying notes or interactions to check a specific detail. Each user generates their own recap from information they can access; it is not a shared permanent record of the relationship.
The Research Assistant adds company information and research notes. Use it for questions relevant to the conversation, such as what the company does or a priority you want to understand. Check specific claims before using them in a message.
Give the next step an owner and a date
Use folk tasks to assign work to yourself or a teammate against a contact, company or deal. Tasks support due dates, recurring work, reminders and a dedicated view of what is due. An agreed follow-up is easier to manage when someone owns it.
folk’s Follow-up Assistant can notice qualifying email and WhatsApp conversations that have gone quiet and suggest a response. Its documented email conditions require an exchange in both directions within the last two months and a pending action. Treat it as support for connected conversations rather than assuming it monitors every LinkedIn exchange.
Example: Belle agrees to send a short project example after a call. She adds a task to the contact and includes what she promised. If a colleague takes over, the note and task explain what to do next.
Keep public participation useful to employees
Use Linkwiz’s Activity Tracking to review captured company and colleague posts and employee participation. A salesperson may have a customer question to add; a colleague in customer success may have a practical lesson to share.
The feed supplies posts and context. A connected AI assistant or the conversational Linkwiz agent in Slack helps an employee discuss how to contribute and draft a response. See the weekly recommendations guide for that workflow.
When a public exchange turns into a relationship worth continuing, save the person and relevant context in folk. There is no automatic Linkwiz-to-folk contact or activity transfer in this workflow.
Use ChatGPT or Claude with each product’s context
folk’s MCP connector lets supported AI assistants search and update contacts, notes and fields, move deals and prepare relationship summaries. It connects through OAuth and uses the access your folk account already has. Tasks can also be managed through MCP.
Connect Linkwiz through its AI integrations to discuss accessible employee findings and captured public activity. The team AI agent guide explains how employees and managers can get help.
Example: an authorized teammate asks their assistant to summarize employee profile priorities from Linkwiz, then prepares a separate relationship follow-up list from folk. Connect each product separately, identify the source of each finding and review any proposed CRM changes before acting.
Review relationships and employee progress together
folk’s dashboards support charts and metrics from people, companies or deals in a group. Teams can organize leads or revenue by creation or closing dates and by assigned teammate. Dashboard access follows group access, and Premium is required.
The current dashboard documentation also says charts display all-time data. Decide which dates and fields answer your question before treating a chart as a particular month’s result. A CRM total does not tell you which public contribution caused a new relationship.
Alongside that view, review employee profile improvements over time and captured public participation in Linkwiz. Use the findings to choose practical support for the next period, then read the relationship context in folk before deciding who should follow up.
Choose the plan around the people who need access
Linkwiz supports reviewing the employees representing your company. folk is priced per workspace member and supports contact and relationship workflows. Budget for the colleagues who need to work in the CRM, alongside the profiles you want to review.
