Choose between a team review and a personal profile check

A profile can explain someone’s expertise clearly and still leave customers guessing which company they work for. An employee can also have an up-to-date company cover and workplace while their headline and posts point in different directions. These are useful questions to review separately.

Linkwiz helps a company lead organize employee profile updates and participation. UpProfiler helps a person check the connection between what their profile says and what they write about. Both can help people improve; the choice depends on who is responsible for the work.

Use Linkwiz to turn employee findings into team updates

Example: you are preparing the sales team for a campaign. You want customers to recognize the company, understand each person’s role and find current information when they open an employee’s profile.

Start with a Linkwiz company report. Review the employee matrix, open a finding and read the evidence and recommended next step. The team profile audit guide explains how to work through the report.

The shared view helps you decide who needs a company cover, whose current workplace needs attention and who could use a clearer company connection in their headline. Good examples from colleagues who passed the relevant checks can make the update easier to understand.

Share the right asset or guidance with each person, then review later scans. Employees can keep their own voice and expertise while making the company context clearer.

Use UpProfiler to connect a person’s profile with their posts

The UpProfiler checker reviews publicly visible profile information and recent posts. It gives a 0–100 conviction score, identifies gaps and offers headline and About rewrites. It also evaluates the banner and creates a shareable score card.

This is useful for a founder, consultant or employee who writes about their expertise. For example, a customer success lead might describe onboarding on their profile but mostly publish thoughts on product design. Feedback can help them decide whether their profile or their writing needs a clearer direction.

UpProfiler’s current methodology covers profile/post alignment, posting consistency, specificity, voice and completeness, alongside banner, offer and social-proof evidence. It uses a 30-day window for posting cadence; when there are few originals, theme and voice analysis can draw on a longer window.

Treat the result as a starting point for edits. The number describes UpProfiler’s assessment of the public information it could read; it is not a LinkedIn-issued score.

Choose the help each employee needs

UpProfiler’s built-in suggestions can help someone revise their headline and About. The employee still needs to check the wording against their role and experience before making the live update.

Its website also points to Link Up for coaching, community and personal-branding support. That is a separate membership, rather than a paid requirement for the free checker.

Linkwiz includes recommendations and practical guides within the employee update workflow. A lead can share a suitable company cover or a colleague’s good example instead of asking every employee to work out the company guidelines alone.

Connected ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Linkwiz in Slack can discuss accessible findings and help the employee work through their next steps. An exported personal optimization plan can be uploaded to their own AI assistant. The employee updates guide explains those options.

Built-in rewrites answer “how could I say this better?” A company report and follow-up process also help a lead answer “who needs help, what should they change and did they do it?”

Both products help you review improvement over time

UpProfiler supports another score after the public profile or posts change. Its account page offers score history and management of monthly re-scores. The published privacy information describes a saved score timeline for signed-in users and separate opt-in choices for monthly emails.

That is useful for someone following their own profile and content changes. When comparing results, read the dimension feedback as well as the total. UpProfiler’s benchmark guidance keeps scoring versions separate, so a changed scoring method should not be mistaken for improvement or decline.

Linkwiz’s profile progress workflow compares available scans for the same employees. A team lead can inspect changed findings and use the remaining gaps to plan the next round of help.

For a company, the useful result may be that more employees have current company information and fewer people need the same update. For an individual, it may be a clearer match between their professional story and their posts. Decide what improvement means before choosing the report.

Profile and post alignment is different from company participation

A person’s posts can support their expertise without covering the company conversations where their input would be valuable. A salesperson may have a customer question to add to a company post. Someone in customer success may know a practical example that helps a colleague’s discussion.

Linkwiz’s Activity Tracking supplies a focused feed around the company and colleagues, alongside captured interactions and participation totals. Open the supporting activity to understand what people contributed.

A connected AI assistant or the conversational Slack agent can use those posts as a starting point for discussion and drafting. The feed supplies the posts and context; the assistant provides help deciding what to contribute.

The weekly engagement recommendations guide explains how employees can receive relevant posts and ask for help. Keep this company participation review alongside any personal profile/content assessment rather than treating the two as the same measure.

Linkwiz Starter$25/month or $250/year, USD.25 tracked people, 3 companies and 3 workspace members; profile optimization and activity tracking.

Link Up membershipSeparate paid membership; the linked Whop listing shows $1,199/year.Personal-branding/content community and coaching resources, separate from the checker.

Linkwiz pricing distinguishes tracked people from workspace members. Employees whose profiles are included in a company report do not each need a paid Linkwiz account.

For one person, a free check may be all they need to start making edits. For a company, include the work of collecting separate results, sharing company assets, answering questions and following up when comparing the options.

Link Up is an optional separate purchase. Check its current checkout terms and support scope if that membership is part of your decision.

Which should you choose?

Choose Linkwiz when you are responsible for employee profiles and company participation across a team. Use the company report to organize updates, support each person and review later findings and activity.

Choose UpProfiler when you want a free personal assessment of whether a public profile and recent posts make a coherent impression, with suggested wording and optional recurring score updates.

A person can use UpProfiler feedback while taking part in a company’s Linkwiz program. That does not imply a direct integration between the products.

About this comparison

By Linkwiz · Evidence reviewed 14 October 2026. Reviewed official UpProfiler product, methodology, account, privacy, benchmark and profile guidance, plus the linked Link Up membership listing and current Linkwiz pricing. No personal profile was submitted, account created, score generated, monthly email delivery tested or membership purchased. The reused report is labeled Example.

Current methodology documentation is used where older blog posts refer to earlier scoring versions. Public evidence does not establish every possible team arrangement or external assistant connection; this comparison does not assume undocumented features are unavailable.

UpProfiler assessments depend on visible profile information and available posts. Linkwiz progress requires multiple available scans and consistent employee selection; activity totals reflect captured interactions. Neither score movement nor activity growth proves a business outcome.
